Elevator operation control: For example, in the Otis OH5100 elevator, microswitches SW1 and SW2 control the elevator's operating status. When SW1 (CHCS) is OFF, it operates normally; when ON, it cancels hall calls. When SW2 (DDO) is OFF, it operates normally; when ON, it cancels door operations. Additionally, SW3-TL can call the elevator to the top floor, and SW3-BL can call the elevator to the bottom floor.
Position detection and signal feedback: Microswitches can be used to detect the position of the elevator car.
