Floor selection button
Destination floor button: This is the most commonly used button in the elevator. It is located in the car and usually identifies each floor with numbers. Direct selection button: Some high-end elevators or special-purpose elevators may be equipped with direct selection buttons. For example, in some office buildings, there may be specific floors that are only used by senior company executives. Through the direct selection button, authorized personnel can directly reach the designated floor without pressing the floor button in the car, which improves safety and convenience.
Control function button
Door opening button: Generally, it is a button with the word "open" or arrows pointing to both sides, located in the car and next to the elevator hall door. Press this button and the elevator door will open. After the elevator reaches the floor and stops, the door will open automatically. Passengers can also open the door manually by pressing the door opening button. In addition, when the door is closing, if someone else is found to enter the elevator, the door opening button can also be pressed to reopen the door.
Door closing button: Opposite to the door opening button, usually marked with the word "Close" or an arrow pointing in the middle. After confirming that all passengers have entered the elevator and there are no other objects blocking the door from closing, press the door closing button and the elevator door will close quickly. To ensure safety, some elevator systems will automatically reopen the door if an obstacle is detected during the door closing process.
